8 years ago, the two happened to be in the same class their last year in college at the the University of Colorado in Boulder. During the first day of school they had to go around and say something interesting about themselves. Courtney talked about how she went around the world on Semester at Sea, and after class Patrick confronted her saying that she didn't go on the trip because he was just on it and she wasn't there! They happened to both go but during different semsters! They then parted ways and came together again the following Friday night when they ran into each other at a bar and hit it off right away.
After a few moves to Denver and then to San Francisco, the two went on vacation in Kauai where they hiked and backpacked along the Na Pali Coast. As they watched the sunset on their second day, Patrick brought a drone to capture the moment. While he was getting it ready at the perfect spot, he asked Courtney to try and fly it and handed her the remote and to turn around. He was then on his knee and the first thing Courtney did was throw the remote down from excitement! They had planned on relaxing at their resort all week and when they pulled up both their parents popped their heads out! They came all the way to Hawaii to celebrate with the two of them! They day sounds like it was so magical and with Patrick's amazing planning, one great proposal!
Because of their love for hiking and adventure, they chose Mt. Tamalpais for their engagement shoot. With a beautiful February day we had clear and gorgeous views of the bay. These two are so kind, sweet and so so cute together. The love just radiates from the two of them when they are together! Check out some of my favorites from the shoot below and I can't wait until their Napa wedding this September at Vintage House Inn with Elise of Brannan Events!
