Greengate Ranch and Vineyard Wedding: Alana and James

t was really important for Lana to have a lot of the traditional Jewish elements: singing of the ketubah, breaking of the glass, the chuppah. She envisioned a fluffy, romantic all white chuppah that Lebloomerie was able to achieve beautifully. Lana has an autoimmune disorder, so with everything with Covid, they made the call back in November of 2020 to reduce her wedding from 130 – 35  so she could still have their summer wedding weekend they always dreamed of and still be safe. Every guest at the wedding went through a quarantine before going to the venue for Lana’s own health.

They also really wanted to include their dog Rex in as much of the day as possible. He was running around the ceremony (a little photobomb for the first kiss) as well as during their signature drinks. Lana’s Berta dress was a dress that she bought off the rack and then had it hemmed which was the last thing she did before the shutdown in 2020. The second dress was a node to Stevie Nicks’ moment where her sleeves were swinging on the dance floor. She also ended up wearing three different Stewart Weizman shoes from the dress changes to their choreographed dance.

Lana and James chose Greengate because it was halfway between LA and the bay area so it was a great middle ground for both of them. Their cocktail hour was a mix of restoration hardware meets coastal chic, where the guests were able to relax with a view.
