If anyone knows Zach and I , they know we fly by the seat of ours pants when it comes to planning trips. This has made for some amazing adventures and also some failed ones along the way. For New Years we didn’t have any plans, the year before we were in Vegas (which was an amazing yet tiring experience), so this year we wanted it to be low-key and mellow. New Years Eve I had an idea to head up the coast to Mendocino. (Great planning I know) I had actually been up there a couples week prior with one of my couples for a shoot and fell in love with it. (See their engagement session here) Luckily that area isn’t the biggest New Years spot (surprise) and we were able to get a hotel and drove up that day. We got there right at sunset and It was an amazing and refreshing way to end 2016. I only brought my film camera so I can actually enjoy the experience instead of running around taking photos, which is me in the past if you’ve gone on a trip with me before.
